PARIS RE operates in all major lines of property & casualty reinsurance and employs over 350 people. In December 2006, PARIS RE Holdings Limited, a newly formed Bermuda-based holding company, completed the acquisition of the ongoing business of AXA RE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AXA Group. HFCP V is the largest investor in PARIS RE, which was initially capitalized with approximately $1.6 billion of equity by a consortium of investors led by Stone Point Capital LLC.
