Brian M. Powers

Mr. Powers is Chairman of Hellman & Friedman and serves on the Firm's Investment and Compensation Committees. He is a Director of Axel Springer AG and Getty Images, Inc. and an advisory board member of Artisan Partners Limited Partnership. He was formerly a Director of numerous portfolio companies, including Blackbaud, Inc., Kronos Incorporated, SLEC Holdings, Ltd. (the holding company for Formula One Holdings Limited) and ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.

Mr. Powers is also an advisor to Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C. He was formerly Chairman of John Fairfax Holdings Limited and Valassis Communications Inc. and was a Director of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.

Mr. Powers originally joined Hellman & Friedman in 1991. Previously, he was a Partner at James D. Wolfensohn Incorporated and was Managing Director (Chief Executive) of The Jardine Matheson Group in Hong Kong. He re-joined the Firm in January 1999, after having served for five years as Managing Director and CEO of both Consolidated Press Holdings Limited and Publishing and Broadcasting Limited in Australia.

Mr. Powers graduated from Yale University and earned a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
